Who is responsible

The Santa Ubud Resort, Jalan Raya Petulu No.22, Ubud 80561, Bali, Indonesia, is the data controller for this website and for your reservation. Reach us at info@thesantaresort.com.

What this website collects

Browsing these pages requires no account and no personal details. There is no contact form and no newsletter sign-up, so nothing is collected from you here unless you choose to send it.

Like any web server, ours records a technical log of requests — IP address, time, page requested, browser type — which is used to keep the site running and secure, and is not used to build a profile of you.

When you make a booking

Reservations are taken by our booking provider, SecureBookings (Hotel Link Solutions), on their own system. The details you enter there — name, contact details, stay dates, payment details — are submitted to them, not to this website, and are handled under their privacy terms as well as ours. We receive the reservation itself and use it to prepare your stay, to contact you about it, and to meet the guest-registration and tax obligations that apply to accommodation in Indonesia. Payment card details are handled by the provider and their payment processor; we do not store them.

When you contact us

If you email, call or message us on WhatsApp, we keep that correspondence for as long as it takes to answer you and to keep a record of what was agreed about a stay.

The map

The map on our contact page does not load until you click it. Until then nothing is requested from a third party. Once you load it, OpenStreetMap receives the request and therefore your IP address, as it would if you visited their site directly.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. The only cookies you may encounter are those set by the booking provider on their own pages while you complete a reservation.

Who else sees your data

Our booking provider and its payment processor; the online travel agents you may have booked through; and Indonesian authorities where guest registration or tax law requires it. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

How long we keep it

Reservation and billing records are kept for as long as accounting and tax law requires. Correspondence is kept while it is still useful for your stay and then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to object to processing, to request a portable copy, and to complain to your national data protection authority. Write to info@thesantaresort.com and we will answer within 30 days.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their data outside a booking made by an adult.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be noted here rather than made quietly.
