The Santa Ubud Resort at dusk, its gabled two-storey villa lit from within and seen across the rice field

Ubud · Bali

Wake up in the rice fields of Ubud.

Every room and villa faces the rice fields, 4.7 km from Ubud Palace. Breakfast is included, and the heated infinity pool is open all year.

See the three stays

The Santa

Built to open onto the field.

Double-height glass on the field side. Doors that slide all the way back. On the villas with a private pool, water between you and the green. Inside and outside stop behaving like separate rooms.

It is built for staying put — slow mornings, breakfast included, an afternoon that goes nowhere in particular. Children of all ages are welcome: there are family rooms, kids’ meals, and a shallow end to the pool.

Interior, glass, pool, field — in that order, from almost every room.

The stays

Three ways to stay. All of them face the fields.

One with its own pool, one without, and a private room. All three look onto the field.

The rice fields start at the window.

Every stay looks out over them. They are working fields, so what you see depends on the crop: flooded and still after planting, then green, then gold before the harvest.

The resort

There is more here than the room.

The pool is open all day, all year. Sapa Shorai serves from breakfast through to cocktail hour, and parking is free.
